Make the Most of Your Wedding Timeline
BY ALONDRA HUPE, FOUNDER OF DESERT DAISY EVENTS
Your wedding day will go by in a blur—it’s just the nature of the day! That’s why having a solid timeline is absolutely essential. Start by identifying your must-haves. Do you want extra time for photos, a first look, or a longer cocktail hour to mingle with guests? Knowing what matters most will help you structure your day around the moments that feel important to you.
Next, build in plenty of buffer time. Even with the best planning, things like hair and makeup can run late or transportation might hit a snag. Adding 10–15 minutes between key events can save you from feeling rushed and stressed. And don’t forget to carve out some quiet moments for yourself—whether it’s a quick breather before walking down the aisle or a private moment with your new spouse.
Finally, work closely with your planner or coordinator to make sure everyone is on the same page. Share your timeline with your vendors and wedding party well in advance so they know exactly where to be and when. A well-planned schedule not only makes the day flow smoothly but also lets you relax and focus on what really matters: celebrating with the people you love. If the idea of creating a timeline feels overwhelming, we’d love to help you create one that’s stress-free and flawless.
